Surface Treatment Of Cable Tray

The surface treatment of the cable tray can be : hot-dip galvanization,  cold galvanized, electrostatic powder spraying etc. In the hot dip galvanized surface covered with a layer of dense and thick layer of protection. It completely avoids touching between  steel and some corrosive substances, and protect steel from being destroyed. The new surface also produces a zinc salt, which is difficult to dissolve in water and is more rehabilitative. So, some projects in the ocean salt fog atmosphere can also be well protected. At the same time, the iron and zinc mixture produced in the heating project has a higher wear resistance. There are four commonly used galvanizing methods:

Hot-dip galvanization:

Hot-dip galvanization is used as a sacrificial anode to protect the cathode metal. The corrosion resistance depends on the thickness of the galvanized layer and the corrosion rate. The thickness of zinc layer in hot dip galvanizing is generally above 65um (455g/m2). The combination of zinc and iron surface to form a layer of zinc alloy, zinc layer enhances adhesion. In hot dip galvanizing, it is easy to produce deformation and so on. It needs to be considered in the structure of cable bridge and the galvanizing process.

Cold galvanization :

Compared with hot dip galvanizing, the process is simple and the cost is low. There is no special requirement for the structure of cable tray. The protective performance of galvanized galvanizing can be greatly improved after passivation treatment. The galvanized layer is usually around 12/zm. Therefore, it is not suitable for high corrosion resistance situations.

Powder spray:

The spraying materials are generally polyvinyl chloride powder, polyester powder or anti corrosive powder. The thickness of the coating is about 100/1rn. The electrostatic spraying has the characteristics of beautiful appearance and good anti chemical corrosion resistance.
